| General Overview | Olivia is mature for her age and could be considered an “old soul”. She is an only child and her father was a specialized surgeon who worked long hours and was rarely home. Her mother died when Olivia was young. In essence, Olivia raised herself. This also led her to be very self-reliant and independent. She does not like to rely on or be indebted to others. She has many acquaintances but few close friends. However, once you are in her inner circle she will fiercely be your friend for life. Olivia is driven, always striving for perfection. She likes her life to be orderly. |

| Personal History | Olivia’s mother died when Olivia was only 5 years old leaving her to be raised by her father. He never remarried choosing to throw himself into his work. Because of this, Olivia grew up quickly, learning to take care of and to rely on herself. Currently, she and her father have a distant, although loving relationship. She did not have many friends in school because of her aloofness. However, the few who became her friends remain her friends to this day. While in school, Olivia had the opportunity to take part in a cultural exchange program for a year where she was able to choose two different planets to complete a semester of school. She chose Trill and Xenex. It was this program that helped Olivia decide to join Starfleet. |

| Starfleet History | At 18, Olivia joined Starfleet Academy with a focus in science, specifically archeology and anthropology. She found differences in cultures fascinating especially as she herself so often felt like an outsider. She threw herself into her training and graduated toward the top of her class because of her drive and commitment. She received her first assignment on the USS Ireland. While at Starfleet Academy, Olivia was assigned to be a mentor to an incoming freshman named Cameron. They, and another friend of Cameron’s, Aren, became close friends over the course of the year. They remained in touch after Olivia graduated and was assigned to the USS Ireland. While on the Ireland, Olivia learned of Aren’s death and reached out to Cameron only to be met with silence. Try as she might, she received no acknowledgement from Cameron, and so, reluctantly, she moved on and left him in her past. |
