Personality & Traits

General Overview		Mott has a surly disposition and limited patience for other people’s bullshit. He works alone - any kind of team environment is just going to lead to open confrontation when Mott’s right and everyone else is wrong. Something of a drifter, he’s considered worldly by galactic standards; he knows his way seamlessly around social situations even if he’s not generally in the mood to put on the act. Mott is a loner and has little interest in developing social bonds with others. His perceived laziness has less to do with work ethic and more to do with general disinterest, and it led to employment problems before his medical license was revoked for malpractice. He sees himself as a tortured soul carrying the heavy burden of perceiving others as they actually are rather than how they present themselves. From that he derives the moral authority that allows him to choose and kill his victims, removing them from society as a favor to those without the power to see. He has been investigated on suspicion of murder on half a dozen different worlds but the authorities have never been able to find conclusive evidence to warrant an arrest.

Personal History

Mott grew up as an only child in a household that couldn’t care less about him. All three parents were busy with their respective careers and when he turned out to be a problem child they essentially left him to raise himself. He did well in school when he applied himself, but that was rarely. Generally he did just enough to get by and spent his free time pursuing hobbies like dissection and scientific experimentation. He attended a third-rate medical school on one of Bolarus’ moons and has spent the past fifteen years drifting from place to place plying his trade. After the malpractice suits finally piled up too high the KCA Medical Board revoked his license. Undeterred, he moved to Arloff III, a small and completely urbanized moon (ecumenopolis) and a haven for the galactic underworld. He set up a small “chop shop” in an alleyway on the Underlevel and established himself as neutral territory for patching up the wounds of various street gangs. When one of the gangs decided he was expendable, Mott fled the planet. Desperate, he took up a job in the unlikeliest of places: a privateer ship working for the Terran Empire.
