Physical Description Beaumont unlike his primary universe version K’os, is every bit a broken man as he looks. He rarely sleeps for more than a few hours and has dark bags under his eyes. His skin is paler than his primary universe counterpart. His hands shake and he has a few nervous ticks in his eyes when he gets particularly excited about something. His face is usually expressionless unless he’s actively engaging his telepathic abilities which is when he either gets a disconcerting grin on his face or an excruciatingly painful look depending on what he’s using his ability for. His muscles are weakened from years of confinement. His body is riddled with badly healed wounds, resulting in scarring. It’s quite clear he has endured torture for an extended time and his reclusive posture is a good indicator of that. Needle marks are evident on his arms and legs, with his right arm so damaged, the vein has collapsed from use. He has tattoos on his arms, and a few piercings on his lip and face. His voice is a bit hoarse from drug use.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Beaumont is a pale reflection of the usually compassionate and exuberantly kind K’os that we know. He doesn’t talk much, preferring telepathic communication over verbal. He is addicted to both pain and a synthesized version of Psilosynine a Betazoid neurotransmitter created by Cyrin Fel to enhance Beaumont’s telepathic abilities and to make him dependent on it as a form of control. Beaumont has resigned himself to being a weapon for the Queen Regent and for Cyrin Fel. He has no aspirations or grand illusions of being anything else. His identity before meeting Cyrin has been stripped from him and his only focus is on enhancing his abilities and getting his next glorious fix of psilosynine.

Personal History Beaumont was born on the prison planet Vulcan. His mother, a convicted spy, named him K’os. His father was unknown to him. His mother only said he died fighting for food and that his name was Mr. Beaumont. K’os was born with uncontrolled hyper-emotionalism and was never medicated or treated making him wildly unstable, manic and bipolar. It made him either uncontrollably violent, or so unstable he would stay in bed for weeks. He accidentally killed his mother during one of his manic episodes, thinking that she was an intruder trying to steal their stash of water, a very rare commodity on Vulcan since the KCA had decimated the planet years prior. The rest of his childhood and early adulthood was spent trying to survive alone on the Vulcan prison planet. He frequently fought people to the death over water. Sometimes being so starved for hydration he was forced to sometimes drink the blood of those he fought just so he could survive a few more days.

Vulcan’s were routinely scooped up as workers or personal slaves after KCA laid waste to Vulcan. By his very early 20s K’os was known as an aggressive and violent reclusive that used mind melds to secure water and food from people and spent a lot of his time hiding from from those that would want to take him from the planet to work in mines or worse. He’d renamed himself Beaumont at this time. Telepathy was banned by the Terran Empire and after the KCA took over and turned the planet into a prison, many Vulcan’s continued to hide their telepathy. Except for Beaumont that used the threat of it openly. Eventually this caught the attention of Cyrin Fel, a weapon’s expert for the KCA. He managed to relocate Beaumont from Vulcan to be used in experiments. He was tortured into submission, and after many trials and errors, Cyrin managed to control his manic personality and reshaped him into the cold and emotionally distant person he is today. Cyrin discovered through experimentation that a synthesized version of Psilosynine could be used to enhance Beaumont’s abilities but also as a form of control. Making Beaumont utterly depended on Cyrin and the KCA. After years of experiments and torture, it’s now come time to unveil Beaumont to the Queen Regent herself as a secret telepathic weapon against the Terran Empire. Will he be able to impress her enough to be used? Or will she dismiss him as a failed experiment and be thrown back to the prison planet where he came from?
