Personality & Traits

General Overview		Nicknamed “The Black Widow” by her subjects, Tuula is a sadistic mad scientist who has no concept of medical ethics and will stop at nothing to find a cure for her condition. She derives pleasure from the pain of others, and will often tease her subjects before torturing them.
Strengths		Tuula is remarkably intelligent and has an excellent memory, which served her well in her medical training. She is an excellent surgeon, having performed numerous surgeries with and without the consent of the patients.
Weaknesses		She requires an exoskeleton to walk, only having partial mobility in her legs. She has absolutely no qualms about harming others and in fact derives a sadistic pleasure out of inflicting pain on others, and some of her experiments were considered gruesome even for the mirror universe.

Personal History

Tuula and her twin sister Jaana were born in 2362, on Earth under Klingon-Cardassian Occupation. After the death of her parents and her spinal injury at age 14, Tuula developed a deep sense of anger towards the universe, and especially her twin sister. Unable to come to terms with her disability, Tuula plunged deep into research, and ended up joining the rebellion ostensibly as a medic and a doctor in training, if only to have a greater access to research facilities and potential subjects.

Her research was boosted by the capture of a disabled Akkadian fold ship a few years ago. Finding that the Akkadians possessed regenerative abilities, she began a series of gruesome experiments including amputations and vivisections which earned her the nicknames “The black widow” and “Dr. Bathory.” The experiments were a success, and by injecting Akkadian stem cells directly into her spine, she was able to restore partial mobility and sensation in her legs, enough to walk with the assistance of an exoskeleton. Eventually, however, word of the cruel nature of her experiments reached Imperial command and she was transferred to the ISS Galileo.
