| General Overview | Alfred has had a life of mixed blessings, much of the promise of his youth has taken a very different path to the one his younger self had foreseen. He has had some very hard times but has always found solace in his service within Starfleet. He long ago left behind vain ambition and learned to find satisfaction in the present and in the often used platitude by actually taking each day one at a time. | |
| Strengths | Alfred is dedicated and good at what he does, he always tries to do a good job even after so many years in the service. He is not easily phased and works well in a team or on his own. He shows initiative and leadership when completing tasks and is not intimidated by rank. | |
| Weaknesses | Alfred can find it difficult to socially get on with the younger less experienced members of Starfleet and in his Jaded views of them and of quite a few other things can grow frustrated or distant. He is unknowingly quite Judgemental of those without much experience and of women who remind him of his ex-wife. He can be short and grumpy and very direct which only grows in line with the tasks importance. He does not think twice in giving his opinion to anyone regardless of rank as long as he see's it as something that needs to be said, however he is not stupid and knows that timing and surrounding play an important factor in getting through to young dumb officers. He still harbours a deep seated racial hatred of the races that fought against the federation in the Dominion War, Cardassians, Breen, Jen'Hadar, Vorta & Changelings. |

| Ambitions | Having spent the last few years on a nice and fairly comfortable posting upon various Starfleet facilities upon Earth Alfred wishes to get back aboard a ship and be amougst the stars and ship life again, to be a direct part of what Starfleet was created to do. Beyond that he has a small nudge within him about going for a commission, he has always suppressed it and refused and avoided any moves to take him down that road so far and thinks he probably still will continue to do so. However this small nudging within has never really gone away from the back of his mind as it always returns eventually to annoy him. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Alfred has a rather sad habit of reading technical mannuals or periodicals and articles based around things applicable to his work. Be it on new species or new studies into already known about species or analysis of past battles or the latest theory of probe sensor harmonics. | Personal History | Born into a stable and comfortable family, Alfred had a very carefree and supportive childhood. He challenged authority within school like many boys and got into some trouble. He did well despite his lack of effort and after dabbling in a few potential careers started university in London to read History. However with the outbreak of the Dominion war Alfred signed up to do his part at a mass enlisted intake within the first few weeks of the war's start. Surviving the war with few visible scars he continued on with Starfleet for several more years before leaving to finish his degree and get back to a 'normal' life. However he struggled to adjust to 'normal' life and his performance at university swung wildly from very good to abysmal. While he was there he met Kate, his future wife. They started going out and even after he left his degree they continued to see each other. Alfred started training as a chef and Kate finished her medical degree, shortly after her graduation they married. As Kate had feared the life of a chef did not suit Alfred and despite trying to push on through he had neither the aptitude nor temperament to finish chef school. With resignation Kate agreed that he should look back at Starfleet. Re-joining Starfleet was the best decision Alfred ever made for himself he had motivation and he was good at what he was doing. He started a family with Kate but eventually the pressures of the long distance relationship brought there marriage to and end as she found someone else from a high gravity world. refusing to be broken by this latest cruelty Alfred settled further into his role and eventually took a role on earth so he could be part of his children's life growing up. This only lasted for a few years before Alfred knew he needed to be back on a ship, his children were doing well and from what little he saw of them he might as well have been on a ship and so with that he sought a new assignment. |

| Starfleet History | Enlisting in Starfleet in 2373 Alfred was given a short posting to the Starfleet Marine Corps as part of an attached engineering contingent to work on bringing their larger equipment up to readiness. Assigned to the Akira class starship U.S.S. Vector's Engineering department and served aboard throughout the war serving well in Tactical, Command and Operation's as needed and posted. The U.S.S. Vector was destroyed at the battle of Cardassia and most of Alfreds friends were amoungst those who didnt make it to the escape pods or whose escape pods were targeted by the Jem'hadar. After recovering from his injuries he was assigned to the Galaxy class Starship U.S.S. Equal where he served in the Operations and Science Departments for 18 more months before leaving Starfleet. 2380 Re-joins Starfleet and after a posting to Vulcan he was assigned back to the U.S.S Equal on a 3 year posting. This was followed by a posting back to Earth so he could see more of his children. Recently he has recieved his posting to the Nova class starship the U.S.S. Galileo. |

| Medical History | Physically Alfred suffers from some back trouble and a stiff left shoulder both related to his HEMA hobby. He also suffers from occasional stress headaches and has been diagnosed with suffering from a manageable degree of psychological trauma from his experiences in the Dominion war. |
