Weekly Update

Posted on 12 Mar 2024 @ 3:13pm by Lieutenant Aria Rice

Hello all,

It’s been a busy time for the crew of the Galileo! Well, crew of both the Galileos!

We welcome Ensign Jonathon DeLaney to the madness (as a character, of course!) played by the returning Jake!

And apart from that we have some interesting posts going on…so tag when you can and enjoy every moment. After all, what is the worst that can happen in the future?

Oh. Wait. Yeah…that.

Anyway! March has 31 days and for some countries a clock change at the end of it, which mean that we have those extra few days before personal logs are due.

We’ve gotten a recipe in as well! Unfortunately the transmission was encrypted and then decayed, so we are guessing this came from somewhere in now Klingon-Romulan occupied territory. There might be a secret message hidden in there somewhere, but I honestly can’t find it.

Masala Chai

You will need:

2 mugs’ worth of milk (almond, cow’s milk, any milk you can get. Maybe not powdered)
2 English Breakfast Tea teabags OR use 2 tablespoons of proper loose leaf tea
6 cracked cardamom pods
A grating of fresh nutmeg (who are we kidding, if you don’t have fresh, use a dash of powdered)
2 cloves
½ Cinnamon stick (don’t use the powder here…)
2-4 teaspoons light brown sugar (usually use soft but honestly…use what you got and adjust! Just don’t use powdered sugar…goes everywhere)

Heat the milk in a pan over low heat until warm. Do NOT use a phaser to heat the milk or a microwave. If using tea bags…cut them open and put the contents in. Savages. If using loose leaf…put it in. Add in the cardamon, cloves and cinnamon sticks. Add sugar to your tastes. Leave to simmer low for 10 minutes. Strain into mugs. A dash/grating of nutmeg. Drink and enjoy.

If anyone receives this, we're trapped. We need help! Our coordinates are...

And that is it for this week!

Anne
