Weekly Update

Hey all, me again with a quick update of the sim.

Firstly I'd like to add my congratulations to two of our players who are departing the sim and to wish them the best of luck.

Kestra Orexil - our Chief Tactical/Security Officer will be leaving as her writer has secured a fantastic sounding job with the opportunity to see a lot of her country at the same time.

Tarishiana Barel - our Chief Science Officer who is preparing for her continuing educational development will also be departing in order to better focus on her studies.

Again I would like to congratulate you both on the developments in your personal lives, and extend Jay's offer that if you ever wish to come back, we will certainly welcome you with open arms.

Whilst I am obviously sad that we are losing two department heads, I can understand the reasons entirely, and thank you both for all your input over the last six months, you've helped us produce some fantastic posts and I'm certain that both of you contributed to generating such an active and well-written storyline.

This does of course mean that there are openings within our crew - so if anyone knows of a friend or relative looking for a sim, or indeed if one of our many readers of the site think that they would like to give Galileo a spin - please contact either Jay or myself.

On to more regular news - the sim storyline is progressing nicely, please can I ask everyone to pick up any outstanding tags on the large joint posts so we can get those completed and get onto the next major part. I know that when it gets busy it can be hard to keep up with everything that's going on, but in the joint posts particularly it is important everyone answers their tags so the storyline doesn't end up looking like a patchwork quilt!

Finally in closing, I would again like to echo our CO's comments about crew awards - it takes Jay and I a fair while to decide who to give which award to, and we take it very seriously during these debates, so if anyone is feeling that their nominations are being ignored, then please do not think that is the case, it is just that every month we receive so many nominations, we can't give them all out in one big go!

Oh....and on a side note - I'm aware that as we get later into the year holidays and time off starts to happen, so if anyone is planning on being away from the sim for any long period of time in the next couple of months, please can you let me and Jay know in advance so we can plan the storyline around it if necessary.
