Weekly Update

Posted on 29 Dec 2015 @ 1:25am by Rear Admiral Lirha Saalm

Hi team, I am alive! After being ambushed by family and children for the Xmas weekend, things have finally returned to normal and I'm able to catch up on admin duties.

I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday so far if you celebrate, and I hope everyone's upcoming New Years festivities will be amazing. Just remember...don't do anything that I wouldn't do! And please be safe on NYE :)

EP09 is now closed and all previous-mission JPs have been moved to EP10. If you have an old JP that has been moved to the new shore leave mission, please adjust the timeline accordingly to allow it to fit into our new mission day schedule.

MDs 24 through 81 are now open for posting, and this will encompass our entire primary shore leave period aside from the Exeter science symposium. Please enjoy this free time with your characters because we only do shore leave once per calendar year. If you haven't already, please visit the Shore Leave Subplot Signup sheet and either start your own subplot or join someone else's. It's a great time for us to get to know each other both IC and OOC. If anyone requires access to the document to join, edit or add their own subplot, shoot me an email or PM and I'll give you the permissions.

Also, for those of you who have blue-collared characters (PC or PNPC in either Science or Medical), please be aware that all of you will have mandatory participation at the Exeter science conference. Each science or medical player will be required to do an IC presentation for at least one of their characters in front of the symposium audience regarding something interesting in their field of study. Presentations should be about 5 mins long IC, and should demonstrate knowledge of your specific field of study. Please begin to prepare these and do a bit of OOC research over the coming week, because we will begin the Exeter conference at the beginning of January.

Lastly, we have all been saddened by Shaun's departure, and we wish him nothing but success with his new job. He is heartbroken to leave us but I know he will enjoy his new commitments and (*fingers crossed*) be able to rejoin us soon when his daily schedule calms down. With every loss, however, we often find joy in welcoming a new player to our ranks. Brendan has returned to our Galilean sanctuary after finishing his final exams, and will be returning with his character, LCDR Andreus Kohl. Welcome back, Brendan, and see you soon, Shaun!

That's all for this week, and please check the Yahoo list for more info. Happy simming!

-Jay
