Weekly Update

Hi crew, I've got a few important pieces of news and some general housekeeping to mention.

First, our sim was recently awarded the June 2013 Silver Unit of Merit. This is a very prestigious sim award which was made possible by all of you, so congratulations on a job well done! It's always great to see us keeping our activity up especially during the slower months of the year, and I've been extremely pleased with everyone's contributions and the pace of our sim. A new shiny award banner has been added to our website's front page so head on over and check it out. :)

Next, I would like to ask everyone to finish up their remaining EP03 JPs and post/delete any JPs which are over a month old. I will be closing EP03 a week from now on Tuesday, August 6th - any EP03 JPs not posted by then will automatically be reassigned to EP04 and will have to be adjusted accordingly to fit into the new episode's time frame. Please do your best to meet this final deadline and get your works published.

I've also been doing some admin work and have been busy working on our wiki over the past week. There's now a bunch of new and updated pages which contain a wealth of fun information. I will be posting the Monthly Website Update this weekend which should detail all of the changes, but in the meantime, anyone who's interested and doesn't want to wait is encouraged to head over to the Starfleet Uplink and take a look.

Lastly, our new character progression system is currently undergoing beta testing and I should have a template for everyone to look at in the coming days. Please keep an eye on our Yahoo list for more information. We will be doing some upcoming voting to see which style(s) everyone prefers, and I'll be presenting more information about that hopefully before Sunday.
